Foundations is a 3-month, 1-on-1 strength training and health coaching programme designed specifically for women in midlife who want more than just fitness - they want transformation.

What Happens:
In my private home studio in Liphook, you'll learn proper strength training technique, starting where you are and progressing at your pace. No gym anxiety. No judgment. No rushing.
​
But this isn't just about lifting weights. We're building an evidence bank that proves you can do hard things. We work on sustainable habits for sleep, nutrition, and stress management. And we set a meaningful goal that challenges you physically and expands what you believe is possible.

What Happens After Foundations?​
Clients can choose to continue their journey through my Levelling Up phase (another 3 months), where we take your training to the next level and work toward bigger physical challenges.
From there, clients move into Bigger Life - where the strength and confidence you've built starts showing up in other areas: career moves, bigger adventures, bolder choices, and a life that feels expansive rather than small.

About Getting Started

What happens on the discovery call?
We'll talk for about 30 minutes about where you are now, what you're hoping to achieve, and what's been holding you back. I'll explain how I work and you can ask any questions. There's no pressure - it's just a conversation to see if we're a good fit for each other.

Do I have to do the trial session, or can I just start the programme?
The trial session is highly recommended because it gives you a real sense of what training with me is like before committing to 3 months. However, if you've done the discovery call and feel confident you want to start, we can skip the trial and begin Foundations directly.
​
What's the health screening call before the trial session?
This is a required 30-minute call where I ask you questions about your medical history, any injuries or conditions, and your previous exercise experience. It's called a PAR-Q (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) and ensures it's safe for you to train with me. This protects both of us.

About Fitness Level & Experience

Do I need to be fit or strong already?
Not at all! Foundations is designed specifically for women who are beginning (or beginning again) their strength training journey. We start exactly where you are.
​
I've never lifted weights before. Will I look silly?
No. This is a private studio (or we'll meet online) - it's just you and me. No one else is watching or judging. I teach you everything from scratch, and we go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
What if I'm worried about getting injured?
Your safety is my top priority. We complete the health screening before you train, I teach proper form from day one, and we progress at YOUR pace. If you have existing injuries or limitations, we work around them intelligently.
About Midlife & Health Concerns
I'm in perimenopause/menopause - is this right for me?
Absolutely. This life stage is actually when strength training becomes most important. I understand the unique challenges you're facing - the physical changes, the fatigue, the joint pain, the weight gain, the loss of confidence. Our work together addresses all of it.

I have joint pain/back problems/other physical issues. Can I still do this?
Most likely, yes. Strength training, when done correctly, often helps with these issues rather than making them worse. During our health screening, we'll discuss your specific situation and I'll design a programme that works for your body. If your condition requires medical clearance, I'll let you know.

About the Programme Structure
What if I can't commit to 3 months?
The 3-month commitment is essential. Real, sustainable transformation takes time. In month 1, you're learning and building foundations. In month 2, you're building momentum. In month 3, you're seeing real results and achieving your goal. Anything less won't give you the full experience or results.
​
What happens if I miss a session?
Life happens! We can reschedule sessions within reason. The key is maintaining consistency - that's what creates results. If you need to miss a week due to illness or travel, we'll work it out.
​
Can I switch from Essential to Optimal (or vice versa) once I've started?
Yes, we can adjust your schedule if needed. If you start with 1 session per week and want to increase to 2, we can make that change for the following month.

What happens after the 3 months?
Many clients continue with the Levelling Up phase for another 3 months, working toward bigger challenges. Some prefer to train more independently with periodic check-ins. We'll discuss what makes sense for you as you near the end of Foundations.

About Training Details
Where is your studio located?
My private home studio is in Liphook, Hampshire. I'll provide the exact address once we've booked your first session.
​
What equipment do you have?
I have dumbbells, resistance bands, kettlebells, and other equipment suitable for building strength. I don't have barbells or machines. The focus is on functional movement patterns using the equipment that's most accessible and practical for most women.
​
Can I train online instead of in-person?
The trial session can be done online if needed. However, Foundations is designed to be in-person in my studio for best results - especially for learning proper form and technique. If you're interested in online training, let's discuss it during the discovery call.
Do you offer group training?
Not at this time. Foundations is 1-on-1 only to ensure you get my full attention, proper form correction, and individualized programming.
Can I bring a friend?
The programme is 1-on-1 only. However, if you're interested in training with a friend in the future, we can discuss options after you complete Foundations.

About the "Bigger Life" Approach
What if I just want strength training without the life coaching stuff?
That's completely fine. While the transformation aspect is built into how I coach, you're in control of how much you engage with the deeper work. Some clients love exploring the mindset and life expansion pieces. Others primarily want great strength training with a coach who understands midlife challenges. Both approaches work.

What kind of goal will I work toward?
Your goal is personal to you. It might be a physical challenge like a charity walk, your first 5km, or a hiking trip. It might be a strength milestone like lifting a certain weight. We'll discuss what feels meaningful to you and work toward that together.

About Pricing & Payment
Can I pay the full 3 months upfront instead of monthly?
Yes, if you prefer to pay upfront, that's fine. The total would be £720 for Essential or £1,320 for Optimal. Payment can be made by bank transfer.
Do you offer payment plans or financial assistance?
The monthly payment structure (£240 or £440 per month) is designed to be more manageable than paying upfront. If you're struggling with affordability, let's have an honest conversation during the discovery call about what might be possible.

What if I need to cancel or stop the programme early?
The 3-month commitment is a commitment. However, I understand that life circumstances can change unexpectedly. If you need to stop due to injury, illness, or major life events, we'll discuss your situation with compassion. My goal is never to trap anyone in something that's not working.
​
Does the £30 trial session really credit toward the programme if I sign up?
Yes, absolutely. If you decide to enroll in Foundations after your trial, that session becomes your first session and the £30 you paid comes off your first month's payment.
